You'd be surprised by the varied answers you'll get to that question. According to the Kinsey reports a healthy amount would be at least once every other week. However different cultures view this differently. The French consider once a week a minimum, while Swedes consider that a lot of sexual activity for a married couple.

For my wife and I (married 6 years, with 2 children) we usually consider sex lacking if we don't have it at least once a week. Though we have had dry spells of up to 3 weeks.

Won't watch porn? Turns down advances? My guess is he is NOT nailing someone else, rather he has a low sex drive, and has all along. Welcome to the club. Plenty of men here, but you're not the only woman. Honestly, you don't have kids together, I'd consider tossing him> You're 38. Is this how you want to live for the next 35 years or more? Men with low sex drive, it can just be low natural testosterone, it can be hangups, it can be depression .... I know its hard on you. The frustration is almost the smallest point. You first of all feel rejected by your partner, you feel unattractive - your own spouse doesn't want to sleep with you. Then you feel unloved - your spouse doesn't care enough about your needs to do anything about them. Most people have had relatively poor success explaining this to a low-drive spouse, but it occasionally works. EDIT TO ADD: its also possible he has some kink he doesn't feel he can share with you.

Together for 7 years, married for 5½. We have a 4-year-old and a 1½-year old. Typically, it's once or twice per week, but lately (last 6 weeks) it's been about once per month. There's been alot of changes lately, and alot on her mind. Things are looking up again and we have 3 date nights in-a-row (starting tonight!), so I'm anticipating that there will at least be a SECOND one this month! =-D

I often wonder about that, cause I always want to make sure he's satisfied. Still, as often as I want it, I don't actually have the energy to do it, with work, kids, gym, school. And I think my husband feels the same way. But we might have a day or two in a month where we get rid of the kids and just go at it all day.
I don't think we're a good example though because sometimes you need it for other reasons, and at those times we should just do it...

I would say 2 to 3 times a week but there are exceptions. Is the lady pregnant are either of you over 40 or are there health factors involved. There is also people who desire sex everyday 2 or 3 times a day. Is it fair to expect your partner to feel the exact same way absolutely not. If one partner has high demands than they should take care of it themselves and not expect their partner to want sex as often as they do or fight over it as many couples do. I don't think it's worth losing a marriage that works in other ways just to have as much sex as the higher sexed partner wants.

I would say about 3 times, if not more a week. Im not even married yet and would prefer it about 10-15 times a week.
