I know she was visiting the zoo but did someone introduce them or did he spot her in the crowd or just what? I watched her on 20/20 last night and I honestly believe they were so very much in love.

She was watching him do a croc show, there were only 12 people in the audience at the time (Back then Australia Zoo was just a small reptile park,). After the show she said she just had to go and talk to him. At the same time he noticed her sitting in the audience and thought she was a hottie. She approached him, they chatted, took a picture and the rest is history.

Yeah she came to Australia on vacation with friends. She went to the zoo which the Irwin family started. She saw him wrestling an alligator and something he said she just had to meet him. So she did. She said his love for animals was awesome and she knew it was love at first site. I watched 20/20 last night as well. I cried a little b/c just how they were together and how much they loved each other and wild life was just amazing. His daughter is just like him. It was sad watching her speak out. He will be missed.

According to Animal Planet, Terri went to see how the Australia Zoo was in dealing with animal rehabilitation. She saw Steve working as "he was casually dangling food in front of a hungry croc like he was mailing a letter".
They married eight months later.

She was watching one of his crock performances at the zoo and went down after wards to have her picture taken with him.
It was truly a heart wrenching show on 20/20 last night. My heart goes out to Terri and the children. May Steve's legacy live on in them.

Apparently, she went to Australia on vacation with either her friends or a family member and then, after leaving some place, they just happened to see a sign for the zoo he happened to work at. They decided to check it out, and, while in the audience, he saw her and she saw him and he waited till the show was over to introduce himself to Terri. The very first time they met, her friend took a picture of the two and, six months later, they married in Eugene, Oregan.
To them, it was love at first sight.
