I have a registered gun and that animal is so annoying. It bites people and craps all over the place.

You would probably be charged with animal cruelity, discharging a firearm in public and the list goes on. So i would suggest calling ur local SPCA or animal control. u could always bribe into you bank yard with some meat, and have some rat poison on it, that should take care of. or have someone hidden with a bat and when u get it to stay, whack him in the head.

Absolutely not! You may have a registered gun,but that still gives you no right to shoot the animal. One would assume there are laws covering this issue. In the UK, you would be arrested for various offences,animal cruelty,discharging a firearm in a public place,endangering others and so on!!Call the appropriate people ,so they can deal with the dog,giving it a fair chance.The dog is probably terrified,and as for messing all over,he HAS to go somewhere!!! The person YOU should be after is the irresponsible owner who lets this dog stray in the first place! THEY are the ones at fault,not the dog!!!

You can shoot anything you like, as long as it's in self defense.
Just hang around the dog until it bites you. Then yell real loud "It's coming right for me!" and release a clip into it.

Most states have animal cruelty laws that you could actually get charged with for shooting it. Plus the fact that you are operating a firearm in public, isn't so good either.

It's a crime to shoot any stray animal. You could be prosecuted, fined and put in jail. You should call animal control who would more humanely euthanize the animal. Perhaps the dog is rabid or ill.

Absolutely NOT. You might get shot by someone who saw you do it, so my advice to you is to call Animal Control
and they'll take care of the stray dog.

you will go to jail even if it is a stray. catch him/her and take to animal control or the police. leave the gun at home!

You can not discharge a gun in city limits... In wisconsin dogs are a protected species.. I would call the humane society or the police.
