An Insurance Company. Good Luck To Ya'

Unless the leave was work accident related it is doubtful that your policy covers extended leave of absence. Plus, You didn't say that you continued to pay your insurance premiums during this time. You are required to do so in your policy. Getting a lawyer at this point may be throwing good money after bad. If this is a workers compensation case then by almeans do so but if you took this leave without a work related accident it was your responsibility to pay the insurance and it ran out afdter the second month as I know it would if you didn't pay the premium in that second month. This is what your lawyer will tell you after he/she contacts your insurance company and he/she charges you three hundred dollars an hour to do so. Sorry, but; you have to pay those bills.

why can't you deal with the insurance company???? i know it's a lot of paper work but that is where you should be heading, don't hire a lawer as suggested in some of these answers, you would just be wasting your money, you are either covered or your not, period.
