"A bacterium reproduces at a rate of 67 per second. How many
bacteria will be made in 1 hour?"

My son came home with this in his Yr 6 homework. What does it mean? What is the correct answer and why?

67^3600 was not the expected answer, according to the school. I think the expected answer may be 67*3600, but this is evidently nonsensical.

in the first second there will be 68. then each of the 68 will continue to reproduce at 67 per hour and so on, the answer will be quite a lot.
