Could be many reasons. These are the tops

1. Might have too many programs running in memory. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, Task Manager, and Processes. Try looking these processes by using Yahoo or Google, and see if you need to stop these.

2. Delete Temporary Internet Files. With Internet Explorer: Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files

3. Could be a virus. Do a virus scan and a spyware scan.

How often do you save your work? I'd guess you have a lot of worms and viruses. If not worse. The best way to prevent this in my opinion is to buy and install and use Symantec Norton System Works. I wouldn't touch my PC without it. It's schocking how often people try to hack in. Without it, how are you going to stop them, you don't even know they coming, or they are there, and you certainly can't stop them. Then you see how many times you get hit and blocked, so then I'd disquise my IP address.

First: check if u r not clicking on any icon continuously , just wait and watch, give little time.
Second : It may be required to format ur PC.
So contact ur Vendor for that.
And : if it is too slow, then defragment ur hard drives

There is one or more files over 3 MB each stored in your tmp. files. Use Windows Explorer and delete all tmp files. Do a scandisk, Internet Explorer files delete and finally a defrag.

Two things, not enough memory to run the application or bad file on hard drive. run scan disk with fix errors. if you can buy more RAM will be better.
