What is the picture quality like? (as opposed to using an HDt.v)

No, S Video is not the best hookup. Component hook up is the best for your standard tv. I have a 360 and it looks phenomenal on my standard tv. The Xbox360 comes standard with component cables which is a plus. Next best thing is S video but the 360 doesnt support S video hookup. If youre debating whether or not to buy a 360 because you have a standard TV, trust me when I say that the picture still looks great.

I use mine on a standard and it is fine. Yeah it would be better on HD but I just don't feel like spending the money on HD well my TV works fine, even if it is about 5 years old.

Great, so long as you're using RC connectors. RF drops quality a quite a bit.

Depends what type of connection you use. S-Video is the best.
