I read on webmed that if your menstrual cycle is longer than 35 days you may not be ovulating. Mine was 36 days this time and has been 33 days for quite a while. We are trying for a baby with no joy so far ( 3 months ) I already have three children and conceived within the first month with all three.
Only useful advice only please
Thanks in advance
Vanessa

I do have periods which last for 5 days
I am 27 years old and my husnand is 35.
I know that three kids does sound like alot for some people but we have always wanted four and are very happily married and financially secure. I just sometimes think that maybe it's not meant to be afterall I am very lucky to have three very healthy children when some people struggle to have one.

We have a very healthy sex life anyway and do have it everyday, yes even after nine years of being together!

You should go to get checked because only the doctor can detect what the problem is. (Good Luck)!!!!

That is not necessarily true. My cycles are anywhere from 35 to 60 days. My doctor said that when I wanted to have children to see her and she would start me on "fertility drugs". I didn't need them and became pregnant on my own anyway. Even though you may not "bleed" your ovaries can still release eggs, and not everyone releases eggs 14 days into their cycle. I was never able to pinpoint my due dates because of this. You just cannot "plan" as well without an ovulation "checker".

The older you get, the longer it MAY take to become pregnant. I had my 1st at 26, 2nd at 29. I tried and tried and tried for 6 years before #3 came along at 35. Recently, I found out that I had polyps in my uterus which could have cause egg implantation to not occur all those years.

First, keep trying, but don't become consumed. I think that adds stress. If 6 months goes by and still no pregnancy, ask your Dr to run some tests. They can check your hormone level and do an ultra sound to rule out polyps or fibroids. It could also be a low sperm count problem too. Good Luck!

Try to get sex everyday that way you know that if you did ovulate then there is a very good chance that it could have been fertilized. I don't understand why women only have sex when they are ovulating because you never know for sure when ovulation takes place. Thats what my husband and I did when we were trying to concieve #2 and within 2 months of going off the bc pill we were pregnant. I wouldn't go see a doctor unless its been at least 6 months.

Yes, you might need to see a doctor to see if its okay for you to concieve or if you are just okay. Every child is different. They are not all the same and after you have children your body also changes, but check with a doctor first.

I would contact my doctor. Three months really isn't all that long even though when you are trying it might seem like it. It could be you being older (or at least your husband in his mid thirties could be slowing it down some). But for reassurance contact your doctor.
