In my opinion this war will not be won by killing terrorists. More will spring up in their place. This war will be won by killing ideologies of hate.

So my policy would be, communicate and understand the people in the regions where hatred of the US is rampant. I don't say we have to agree with them, but we should be able to relate to them and them to us. Strengthen our ties or at least develop a level of detente. I would also make it clear that we will not accept terrorist actions of any sort, be it state supported or unsanctioned groups.

For those that commit or conspire to commit crimes against this country, hunt them down and punish them. I have no problem trying to diplomatic, but if someone attempts to harm us, I would not spare resources in bringing him to justice.

There are some other complexities to my policy, but that is the basic principle.

One other thing, I would make us self-sufficient for energy. I would not open up ANWAR, but would greatly accelerate green energy sources (that has the best long term prospects for this country; we should get off of oil before the rest of the world giving us a strategic advantage far into the future). With regard to the new field found in the gulf, use that one to immediately lessen our dependence on Middle Eastern oil.

Anyway, so many things are tied up in terrorism, I can only touch on the surface what my policies would be.

1. Take all the Iraqi Recruits that get murdered in Iraq signing up to go into the Army and train them in the USA in a remote location like the NTC. Train a battalion at a time from BCT, Infantry AIT, Squad Tactics, Platoon Tactics, Company Tactics, Battalion Tactics. Goal to have 10 trained infantry battalions.

2. Implement a plan to divide Iraq into a 3 State Country. One state for the Kurds, one for the Shites, and one for the Sunni's.

3. Implement a plan for a 12 month pull-out of US Forces in Iraq based on replacement by trained Iraqi Infantry Battalions trained in the US.

4. Train more men and women in covert operations, thereby putting more intelligence and operations officers in the field. Have congress change the mandate on the amount of CIA field officers, etc.

5. Put into law a counter-terrorist law that prohibits any information to the media pertaining to terrorist operations, capture and detention of known terrorist or terrorist suspects.

6. Push the Taliban and Al Queda out of Afghanistan into Pakistan (were they are operating from anyway). Bomb Northern Pakistan, and destroy all elements of Al Queda and Taliban.

7. Organize more smaller, more lethal para-military counter-terrorist teams.

8. Guard and protect our borders on land, air and sea.

My policy would be to continue to hunt down and eradicate the terrorists wherever possible. Additionally, I would start a comprehensive program to enlighten the women of the region of the barbaric practices they are subjected to in the name of a religion, and that it does not need to be so. If the women were freer and more politically active, they could pressure the system from the inside.

Win there is no substitute for victory when the stakes are so high. I would go to the Terrorists state sponsors and speak to their leaders by proxy and I'd warn them in the strongest terms if the Terrorists they train and fund released anthrax or a biological agent or a dirty bomb they would face immediate retaliation.

That's what you have to do address the man behind the curtain
who is the real one giving orders to the Terrorists.

My policy would be to start by removing the major cause of terror in the world.Force Israel to end its occupation of Arab land .The rest would be easy because there would be very few recruits for terrorists.Second step is to stop exploitation of poor countries by the rich ones.Genuine fair cooperation must be in place between all nations irrespective of race or religion.

My policy would be to treat terrorists like they are fugitive felons and seek their capture and extradition to this country for prosecution and or execution depending on the nature of their crimes. They are crooks, not soldiers. They should be treated as crooks and not soldiers. No country takes credit for their actions. No country should stand in the way of their prosecution.

I would bring our troops home to protect our country and let the others fend for themselves, then if they gave there life it would be for their country not some war that will never end in the middle east where they have been in the same conflict for centuries
