I read that it is mandatory that all cadets attend the home games. How do they know if you made it to the game or not? Are there sections and people who do a roll call for each section?

Muster was taken before we marched to games at the Naval Academy. That didn't mean that people didn't sneak out afterwards, but you were in uniform and that would make you conspicuous if you did try to leave early.

Besides, the games were a nice break.

You obviously haven't been part of the military before.

When you're a newbie (pleeb, flight school, basic, etc) then you don't have any life of your own. Everything you do is supervised, monitored, graded and criticized.

The USAF would simply muster your flight before the game, take attendance, and march you into the stands where you'd take your assigned seats.

Upperclassmen might get a break (leaving early) but I assume that they have to muster and march too.
