Yes. Managers and players have signed contracts and should comply with those. Also nowadays managers and players are paid huge amounts of money. I suspect that secret payments and tapping up managers and players has been going on for years. I know some Nottingham Forest supporters who idolised Brian Clough. They are convinced however he took bungs. Proving it is another matter. It takes away the integrity of the game. Look at the Ashley Cole fiasco. It was an absolute disgrace and I think Chelsea and Cole were guilty. Unfortunately because Chelsea have so much money they think they can get away with anything. Corrupt players and managers should be banned for life.

If we can accept players who seem totally motivated by money (as opposed to club loyalty) such as (C)Ashley Cole (whose footballing education counted for nothing under Arsenal counted for nothing when confronted with a cash upgrade), then we have little reason to make such a BIG fuss over bungs. Besides, I don't believe that it is such a prevalent problem as is claimed in the media.

Extremely serious, and anyone found guilty of it should be banned for life.

What's the difference between a manager who accepts £100,000 from an agent for agreeing to sell one of his team's players, and a manager who accepts £500,000 for throwing a game? Nothing.

why do something in secret if it is legal and not offending?Do your things in the clear and you will see that things should be done in the open for all to see because when the secrets come out in the open they tend to be misinteprated and you end up losing money and the intended bargain, whereas you could have avoided all that with a simply approach.

Of course it`s serious, if it was`nt, everyone would be doing it. And I also think anyone who is involved in such a thing should be banned for life. for example, player, manager or agent.
