Only if it's one of the big old heavy early video cameras. Those things weighed a ton.

No its just something fat people say to make themselves feel better lol j/k yes it does on some cameras but not all it depends on what kind of camera you use good luck on buying a camera that will slim people down a bit.

No. The camera just makes you look like you did. I think has to do with distortion created by the curvature of the camera lens surface.

No, people just have an image of themselves and it doesn't always match the camera's. The truth is that many actors are too thin anyway so it doesn't matter.

I girl I know actually looks slimmer and prettier when seen through the eye of the camera, she once saw a photo of herself, and said "who's that"...
generally it puts weight on...

Some of the older ones might, but I always slip it off by the shoulder strap BEFORE stepping onto the scales

More like 15 -- can't explain why, but for some reason most people look heavier than they really are in pictures. The only exception to that rule is really skinny people...

Yes but strangely one loses the excess weight the minute you get off the screen, which must be the quickest diet in the world!!

TV definitely adds ten pounds. True, true, true! I tend to look the same in pictures as I do in person.
