For the most part, I can't imagine torturing someone. But then again, I think there are a few people whom I would like to cause unimaginable pain. I really hate sex offenders, serial murderers, and animal torturers.

I cannot imagine nor do I want to imagine torturing anyone. I think it must take true evil people to do the job. I often wonder how the torturers think and feel.

Two mindsets. First the terrorists who believe tourturing someone will show their 'power' and kill for the sake of killing. They enjoy it. It gives them a feeling of euphoria and supremecy. These are sick deranged individuals who have no compassion and are filled with hatred.
And the second (which I am sure you are referring to) is the intense desperation and conviction of the people who are trying to stop the animals who murder indiscriminately. These people do not “enjoy” torture as do the former. I would assume they do their job with great difficulty but keep in mind that in cases such as these, the ends will justify the means.

The Gods of Christianity and Islam. They start all the fights and their followers enjoy the torture and killing. It's sick, but a lot of people seem to like it.

Yes, I can imagine it. If one of my kids were in the twin towers on 9/11, I can imagine it quite easily. Not to say that philosophically I'm not against it, but to say it's beyond one's comprehension or imagination is a lie.
