For example if a person has too many friends around him/her...then doesn't that become a difficult tast to keep everyone happy and involved? Especially..if some of them don't get along with each other or wants your personal attention?

I think there should be a limit...YES. But don't exactly have a number on it...your statement is true though. It can get out of hand and make your life miserable.

Look, there's so many hours in the day and I can only do so much, so we'll get together when time allows it. And if others can't get along, too bad. I don't want to hear it and I am not getting involved in their quarrels and fights. The best I can do is send them boxing gloves and "may the best man win."

There is no limit to the number of friends one can have. You should know you limit in that area. if you should find out that some of your friends don't get alone you should find a way of making them become friends again.

But as to the limit nobody can decide for you.

First of all you need to rcognize the difference between "friends" and "aquaintances." A friend is someone that accepts you for who you are not what you can do for them.
It's not your job to keep your friends happy. It's their choice whether they are happy or not. If you have so-called friends that are overly sensitive about how much attention you are giving them, they're not true friends.

you shouldnt make an attempt to limit your friends. when the situations arise that you cant make everyone happy (and you just CANT) they will limit themselves or learn to deal with the fact thatr youre not there just to keep them happy.
