Science doesn't define it. Spirits, ghosts, and God are outside the realm of the natural world, that is why they call it super-natural.
While some folk like to define such, putting God into a box of human description, with God and ghosts outside the box, you could say the spirit world has us in a box. We just deny there is a box so we don't have to deal with such things, or persons, or whatever. Strange, it is okay for science to think that there are these intelligent beings elsewhere in the universe that may think we are as backwards as tree slime, but they have to be made of elements on the periodic table, even though 90 percent, by their own theories, of the universe is made up of stuff we only have slight clues on, dark matter.
Whatever strange things there are to be discovered, real science does not have a real place for things spiritual because supernatural things are not natural.

I have studied Astronomy and Science most of my life and nothing is more true than God, Jesus Christ who died for you, and the Holy Spirit who gives you wisdom and understanding to everything in the Bible and in the world. You see Satan will come in the forms of ghosts and other spirits to confuse people about the Christian Faith. All other faith's are false.
I am telling you this out of pure concern, the world is confused enough but "There are more things in Heaven and Earth than ever dreamed of in our Philosophy" (Astronomy Book, can't remember the author). Even the Astronomer Patrick Moore in his Book of Astronomy constantly tells peopel, "Their is no scientific evidence to explain".....for example; "The Star of Bethlehem" that is just one statement, there are many more he refers too as do most scientists who are honest.
So to answer your question, Satan will create ghosts and spirits to confuse you and put you off seeking Christ. Also we "wrestle against the powers of darkness of this world", read the Bible and Ephesians Chapter 6 will give you a good idea how to overcome this. As will the one true ghost, the Holy Ghost. Seek Christ with an open mind and He will reveal himself to you.
I did have an experience once, a vision, before Christ intervened in my life. I was outside the house when it went all foggy and I couldn't see for the mist, as I walked further towards what I saw was something shadowy, I saw a grave, my grave, with 4 of the most ghastly demonic figures you can ever imagine. This has etched in my mind all my life. It was terrifying, but since Christ stepped in, I am not afraid of anything. This is a true story, I would never lie about something like this. I very seldom speak or mention it, because Jesus Christ has shown me Revelations far superior to what the devil ever did or could do. God Bless You.

Science works to dispel mostly, not to prove. I have had several experiences with paranormal activities as well as other members of my family. We have lived in haunted houses, and have fought negative forces. I am what's called a "ghost sensitive" and I will pick up on spirits very quickly. Sometimes it freaks me out but over the years I've gotten used to it. One place that I really want to visit is the Myrtles Plantation is Louisiana. Have you heard of it? The ghosts of Chloe and those children have been photographed. There's a website showing them if you want to see for yourself.

Life and death: Life body and soul, death only the body.
Seeing a corpse is one part of the death body of a person.
Seeing a person alive body and soul, is your opportunity to meet, as he/she like you are both coming from the unknown, curious about self existences, armed with a body to serve you. Then again death turns us all to spirits without a body, knowing not existences as we knew, till next.

Of course not. Who on earth (sic) would hang around here? Alright maybe they're trapped but could they not at least hang about with one another instead of rattling chains and encouraging the media?

Science defines it by saying it doesn't exist, if they don't understand it they won't accept it, they need to take the blinkers off.

its true... it exists but the science term given to it is paranormal... Something even science cannot understand... Science is only based on theories so if the theory cannot be it then its called paranormal activities...

its a 50/50 thing, you either do or don't believe in them. For every piece of proof shown someone will find a way to disprove it so i guess we'll never know
