I have a friend, we went to school toghether and have been friends for 16 years. Ive changed alot since then, but he hasnt. We were supposed to go to australia next year but i dont want to go with him. We just dont share enough anymore, how do I let him know how i feel with out making him go balistic? Im basically his only friend, and hes a shut in, he wont go out and meet new people.

Try to help him meet new friends by bringing some over to meet him that are more like him ("Hey this is my friend ____, he likes computers too!"), and then slowly ease him away.

A friendship that took 16 years of your life can't be wiped away easily.

probably you should tell him to change his attitude.tell him that you still care about him.that you just want him to grow up a little.16 years is a long time.is ashamed to end a friendship that has been going on this long

Wow that is tough. could you some way take other people to visit him & that way he would be meeting others,then go from there .never know unless you try it.
