Both.
One of my jobs, I absolutely live to work, and never feel more alive than when I am doing my job well.
I also own an HVAC business, but that is just working to live and maintaining local friends and taking care the AC problems of a few good people who need a price break.. But the paper work is really excessive.
With either situation, I need to de-compress, but moreso in the first job. Actually, the HVAC business helps me decompress when I am working in the field rather than in the office.

Very much work to live. I like what I do for a job but, I play hard, and it's outside of work that I get to see and do the things that make my life worthwhile.

Before retirement I worked to live, but now I live to work and do voluntary work at a senior center and as a member of a union acting company.
