Well never been to Asheville, NC. Would never move to Boston the people up there are rude to non-Bostonians. So I would say Philadelphia is the place to be out of those three city.
But let me throw one more into the mix, Atlanta GA. Friendly people, growing economy and lots of night life.

I visited Asheville last year and it's a lovely city. A lot smaller than Philadelphia and Boston but if you like wonderful mountain views, crisp, clean air and a taste of the South then it migt be worth a shot. Compared to a lot of te South it's also pretty iberal.

Asheville of course! Philly and Boston are cold and crowded... Asheville is the biggest little city in the South :) Great restaurants, great jobs, lots of music and art... and beautiful to boot.
