You want to CARBO load your body ( so start eating lots of Carbohydrate based meals.... think PASTAS, POTATOES...RICE etc etc)

Carbs are a SLOW releasing energy source, therefore providing your body with energy for ENDURANCE runs rather than QUICK RELEASE ENERGY (for sprints etc)

The night before you race, i would eat a large pasta based meal (maybe with some chicken breasts for protein)
Then on the morning of your race, about 3-4 hours before your race starts, eat a LARGE breakfast with Oatmeal (and more pasta if u still feel like it) add ABIT of sugar (but not too much)

WHATEVER you do...DONT drink a redbull or equivelant before the race!!

I assume you have been training, and in that training you are probably doing a long run once a week. Eat whatever you eat before that. Eat it about the same time before you run.

Marathon day is not a good day to try something new with your body, it may get mad.

if you eat just as much as you can afford then a gap of half hour
if you eat more than your capacity then wait for about an hour
if you eat less than you can afford easily, still wait for half an hour

and eat whatever you want unless it makes you sick.
