Many of the poor and elderly have no transportation to get to the polls on election day!

It is their right to vote, and we should thank those that help them get to the polls.

What do you think?

No, it's perfectly fine. Both sides do it. Now, slashing tires, registering dead people, etc. is a crime.

You can bus all the people you want. It wouldn't matter. I remember the first time Bush ran for office and no one voted for him, well not as many that would have made him president. It's the electorial votes that count. It doesn't matter if every single american civilian voted for the same person, if the electorial votes disagree, then that is what will count. I'm sorry, I did vote and I thought it was making a difference, but when I sat in on Capitol Hill, I was discusted and ashamed that we have allowed our govt. to have so much power. To elect themselves, give themselves raises, and make laws without our permission. So, I'm sorry, I wish that would make a difference if every american voted, but it sadly doesn't.

Everyone has the right to vote. But helping the useless in society is another thing.

I am not talking about the elderly, just the lazy. If you vote, that's great, but know why and who you are voting for. Also, try to be a productive member of society.

I think it sounds like a good idea. Perhaps the best thing a friend could do would be to help out another person that needs a ride whether it be to the polling places or to the store. The right wing nut cases that run our country like the idea that the poor do not vote.

We have a program called Absentee voting. They don't even have to leave their home. It's rather quite popular here in Florida where we have many people that can't get around. Also much cheaper than buses, gasoline, bus drivers and manpower to manage such an undertaking.

In theory nothing is wrong with it. But buses cause pollution and pollution causes global warming. Is that the message we want to send? Also, many of these voters are OBESE, and a bus would burn EVEN MORE fuel getting their big butts to the polls. Again, what kind of message would we be sending to the nation's children?

I agree. However, when you 'educate' these people how to vote and perhaps give them a little cash or free day care while they vote, you have crossed the line.

I got on one of those buses once .
The whole ride was a campaign speach , what and who to vote for .
Just one side , no other opinion need be expressed .
One last chance for LIBERAL BRAINWASHING of the voter !
