All blokes look at porn. It's in thier nature. He's just embarrassed about it. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you.

I own a computer repair company, and yes it is true, believe it or not, you can download shareware that put on pop up on your computer, you click on one pop up which installs other pop up software, which installs porn software, or the biggest way people get accidently infected or get porno on there computer(some do it because they do want it) but most get it from these free music download programs, they think they are downloading a song but they are not, I have had MANY jobs cleaning that junk off where the only people on the computer were a 70 year old grandma and a 7 year old great grand son or something

It's happened to me before. If you want to get something done to check it, you could delete it all, install antivirus and firewall software (ZoneAlarm Firewall from http://www.zonelabs.com is a good firewall, and AVG Free works really well for viruses - http://www.grisoft.com ), some spyware checkers (Spybot is a brilliant one - http://www.safer-networking.org/ ), and make sure you check the folders the media files are in. You could alays check the history to find out what web sites he's going on (View - History), or if you want to, go into Safe Mode as the administrator (works on Windows XP only - as the computer's starting up, keep pressing F8, go into Safe Mode from the menu, and select the Administrator option when it appears) and view his files without him knowing. Of course, if there's no password on his computer, you won't need to do that.
Hope I've been of some help,
Will

Yes, I'm female and it happened to me! My husband was amused and asked if he could ""accidentally"" download porn. I told him to go ahead, whatever floats his boat, but if you get malware - YOU"RE responsible for dealing with it! I'm the official IT geek in our house!
I am a serial downloader and surfer. If you enter a famous person's (Britney Spears, to name one) name incorrectly in the Address Bar of your search engine, you will probably be directed to a porn site. Even though, I quickly get out of the site, I already opened my PC to all kinds of virus attacks.
Then I got wise and armed myself with spyblockers - 3, a router firewall, and a keylogger blocker. No problem ever since!
I already had AV, software firewall, and adblockers - 3 loaded.

Yes, it happens all the time, especially when the users are males.
Just kidding ...
He maybe on one of those sites that use popup and load the movie files automatically (.avi, .mpg, .mov...etc.), and your computer was configured to automatically open those extensions using windows media player...
There're lots of ways to block those as mentioned by other users here, try them all ... but for now, believe what he said :-)

No, but leave the guy alone. Is he hurting anyone or are you just looking for a reason to get mad at him? Guys need variety, we don't link sex and love like women do. He can love you and look at someone else. Be thankful he is getting his frustration out on the computer and not with someone else. If you think this constitutes cheating then you are oversensitive.

In order for it to be on the Media Player, your husband would have had to download porn. Porn doesn't magically appear on your computer by its self.

I'm a female, and yes it does happen, it depends on the web site he went to. They have hidden pop ups attached that will spam the hell out of you with that crap. So believe him. Ask him what site he visited, in the past 4 days, and try it yourself. You'll get bombed too.

Oh please, he is a guy, guys are going to look at other women. My boyfriend used to go to those sites until I told him it made me feel like he didn't like looking at me or wanting to be with me. Just let him know how you feel about it and if he is trying to get out of a site just as you are walking into a room you know that it did not just LOAD by itself.

What difference does it make? Men are visual, we like porn like some women like shopping. Some of that stuff does seem to download on its own!
