I have lived under, I suppose, twenty prime ministers, and without doubt, Tony Blair was the best. I find that his integrity and honesty beyond reproach - no matter what anyone says. I find that as he does not 'play around' and the papers/media can find nothing against him, they choose to rubbish everything he does and tries to do. Gordon Brown is one of the best Chancellors of the Exchequer we have ever had - just think about previous roaring inflation figures. However, I do not think he could step into Tony's shoes in Number 10. My tip for the top is John Reid. He appeals to me when interviewed on television as a honest down-to-earth man who accepts the fact when he is wrong, but will not be budged when right. Put your money on John Reid...................

Tony Blair wanted his place in history and I believe he has it.
He is without doubt the most conceited, distrusted and reviled Prime Minister that Britain has ever had.
He has consistently lied to the country, which is nothing new for a politician, sent our military into an illegal war, destroyed the NHS and done very little to help the elderly or impoverished.
The day he leaves office cannot come too soon.

I do like Tony Blair and people will often judge his time in office as the country being in a stonger, fairer and better position.

The war is another story and so is immigration.

John Reid over Gordon Brown as PM absolutley.

Brown is good with a spreadsheet and calculator.

Reid is good with communicating with extremists ( as at his recent talks in south London) He's not afriad to accept he has made a mistake and is another Scott in Westminster to upset English 'extemists'.

As an European, not British, I see Mr. Blair as a great politician.
Under his Governs UK became stronger, one of the world top economies, a voice in the global politics.
Now we can see UK on the same base as Germany or France.
Mr. Blair made mistakes? You know better, but all together he is seen as a great PM (from my seat).

You are obviously very young, have no idea of political history and are basing your opinion on your personal experience. Blair isn't even a good Labour PM let alone the best ever, whatever that means!

Blair is a liar and a war criminal. He treats the public like idiots. The current government has ridden for too many years on the foundation laid by Maggie, and now that it's all going pear-shaped they're still blaming her.

gordon always appears half asleep, watch david milliband,he is on the way up, gordon has to hold onto his seat in glasgow and that is by no means certain. no seat no job regardless of what the party wants.
