and it doesn't matter about the extra traffic and behaviour from the city folks which is alien to the locals?

Not much -- the only problem I have with this happening in my rural community is the fact that beautiful ranches and farmland are being bought up, and greedy developers are cramming in to those spaces cheap, cookie-cutter houses on tiny lots and that is causing problems with a population boom that the infrastructure (meaning schools, roads, etc) can NOT handle as they exist at this time.

Traffic, crowded schools, higher house prices because of the demand for homes, etc......lack of familiarity among neighbors, no sense of community,
