Please help settle this debate I am having with a friend. A link to evidence would be helpful.

Not without giving the team, the NFL and the PU a cut.

That's why some commercials you see the athletes wearing generic uniforms - just the teams color, maybe no number, etc etc.

Yes of course they can, have you seen Direct TV commercials with Peyton Manning is his jersey? Converse with D-wade? All the countless ones with Jordan in his Bulls or Wizards uniform? Yes they can, with permission from the franchise.

wow...I don't really know.

For example, the Diet Pepsi Reggie Bush commercial, it shows him having the black jersey with a white 25, but it's not his actual jersey.

I think that they might not be able too, not entirely sure though
