I have one but it's only because I'm an EB employee. There are definate perks :-D
As for the general public, pre orders should be starting within the next week or two for the wii.
Don't worry too much though. There will be plenty to go around. Nintendo is actually making enough systems to cover demand...unlike that other company *COUGH*sony*COUGH*

As far as I know preorders aren't being taken in the U.S. as of yet. Canadians have been able to preorder them at Toys R Us and people in the UK have been able to preorder at various places. Online you can pre order them at Lik Sang (link below). Amazon.com did take preorders for a brief period (around 4 hours) but quickly stopped again because they supposedly sold out.

I think you can't pre-order it yet, I looked into it recently and found you can't.
