Don't encourage feelings for that person. You will end up getting badly hurt. Move on. Time will heal your heart and you'll find that perfect person for you someday.

As hard as it may seem the best thing for you to do is keep your mouth shut. If you are freinds with this person be satisfied with that. If you feel that you cannot be friends without feeling this agonizing love bug when you are around them then try to distance yourself from them for a while. It would be wrong of you to try to interfere with the other persons relationship. This type of feeling happends to many many people so your definatly not in the boat alone. You cannot blame yourself either nor beat yourself up over it cause feelings for another sometimes cannot be controlled they just start to bloom uncontrolably.
The best thing for you to do is just wait, not totally shut off your dating life until he/she breaks up with that person so you can have your shot. But you need to get out there and date other people too. If it is meant to be it will all work out in the end. Time is the worst thing ever but thats all you need. Dont sit and sulk cause you cant have them. Accept it, learn from it, and move on.

Let go there's nothing you can do. Its hard I know but you have to move on and forget. When someone loves someone else then there is no place for a third -potential partner- person. Take a trip avoid going where he hangs out , go out with the girls and get a hot new hairstyle as a gift to yourself.

Find something to occupy your time.
Try to meet new people .
Hang out with friends.Trying to chase after someone who's heart belongs to someone else,is the best way to get a broken heart.

if you truly love this person you should just want them to be happy. does this person know how you feel about them? good communication is the best thing for a happy relationship whether its personal or as friends.
