Happiness is state of mind. The rich become richer because they find happiness in becoming richer. The poor continues to stay poor because he continues to be happy being poor.
Contentment leads to happiness. If not measured in terms of money or wealth or fame, the contended person is a happy man. As he is happy he continues to remain contended.
Unless there are differences, the world does not move. There should be variations for the life to flow. I am one who is attracted by the law of physics which says that the energy of the universe is constant. Accepting that fact, if there is should be variations in the energy level ( life) to keep the balance even. Thus there should be poor and rich, happy persons and unhappy persons.

there are many reasons.
as a previous answerer said, some people work harder than others. also, some people are able to make wiser decisions with there money. that is how some people become rich. by working hard and sacrificing some things. saving money. they struggle, work hard and make do with what little they have. some have a better education than others, or have talents that others don't have, and therefore get the bigger, better paying jobs.
also, it is about who you know. there are always loopholes and connections. deeds is part of the reason too. that is one of the main reasons, why there is rich and poor, why there isn't the same amount of happiness and why there is so much war and conflict all the time. things like love, respect, understanding wisdom, knowledge, kindness are lacking.
some people too selfish and greedy. the more they have the more they want, and treat the poor with scorn. they don't want to share and help the less fortunate.

Many rich people have become paupers and many paupers have become rich. It mainly depends on intelligence of a person. The life of Joseph Pulitzer is an example as to how a poor orphan boy can also become one of the richest persons in the world. Intelligent persons capitalize on the opportunities presented by life. Other people fail or over look opportunities coming in their course of life. As far as happiness is concerned it has nothing to do with money . a contended person is always happy and a greedy person is never happy.
The explanation base on karma theory will be very long. Secondly unless one accepts rebirth it will not make any sense to him

Of course it's our deed.., and sometimes not.. it is all about thinking or mentality.. some people were thinking they want afford a simple life. Some of them not. They want to be rich.. So they took a first step and so on. This kind of people know they have a destiny. Many people want to be rich on easy way. They don't want to work on it, but always dreaming. Everything in this world can be answered.., there is only 2 thing in this world is without answer.., First the god things.., second the truth love., Always ask yourself question then find the answer. Life is all about jigsaw puzzle.., every single of puzzle is a quest. I believe on faith. I believe on faith. The faith of life and death. Human can't change the faith that written by god. Let say, I'm not deciding i want to born in this hell.., i don't decide i want to born christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and so on. It was the faith because i can't think and i don't decide. But I'm changing my faith now because I'm deciding now. In the end every singles life in this world have the same faith.., DEATH. we are not to live in this world for 100 years, Stop caring about who has happiness more, and start to do things that can make other one happy.. and you will be happy till the end.

it's the matter of keeping the rich richer & the poor poorer
making all people equal wouldn't make the world what it is now
& that's something not to be proud of
people have a mindset on money & those that are rich think the less advantage are beneath them
you look at the rich & say how lucky they are but every white picket fence isn't always perfect
they have way more problems than the ones who don't have money to burn

Why are there rich and poor in the same world?? Several reasons! Upbringing, some people work harder than others. Some people don't want to go to college & try to get a good job. Some people can't afford to go to college & get a good job....
But if it weren't for the poor blue collar workers, who would clean the rich people's homes, build their homes, make the parts for their cars......?
That's just the way it is.

If everyone was rich then no one would have to work, so if your fridge broke down, no one would be able to fix it. That is why there is rich and poor.
Deeds has nothing to do with it, the futures what you make it.

think again. if there all people in the world are rich.. people must have been fighting for land, fame and status and mostly forget the One... if there all people are poor.. then who will be the one that will thelp them, help their own country...
if all people are cruel.. who will mercy to the kids.. or your kids..
