I usually read the whole question. Unless its ridiculously long then sometimes I'll just skip it.

I read the whole question, but that is not always enough. Sometimes there are hidden or unclear intentions posed by the questioner which change the meaning as a whole. If you miss these subtleties then you will answer based on an incorrect understanding of the content. So reading is not enough, you must also read critically.
