Really! Everytime he lays down, within one second he gives one little sneeze. It's so funny... I am taking him to the vet for a check up in a few days. But meanwhile, has anyone heard of bunnies allergic to laying down?

It may just be an automatic reaction, or a physical issue with his throat/mouth/nose.

It may be allergic to something you clean with, but you can't be allergic to physically laying down.

Side note - not all vets are rabbit savvy... you can check with the house rabbit society to find a vet who has rabbit experience (www.rabbit.org) I tell everyone this because I had a friend who lost her rabbit because of a vet's mistake.

Rabbits do not catch colds but they can catch something called pasturella which is a bacterial infection of the respiratory system. It is dangerous and can kill your rabbit if left untreated. Signs of this are: colored discharge from the nose, sticky or wet paws (from washing the face), labored breathing or coughing. If this is happening they need to see a rabbit savvy vet immediately and begin a course of antibiotics and probiotics.

It is possible that something else in the environment is irritating his nose (air freshener, bedding, dust, other animal dander) so keep an eye out for other things you might be using and try to eliminate whatever you might think is the issue.

I haven't heard of that. My bunny will sometimes sneeze when he gets some dust in his nose.
If your bunny is sneezing a lot and has a runny nose and/or runny eyes it could be more serious. It's good that you are going to the vet to have your bunny checked out.
It could be nothing and it could be many things. Is your vet "rabbit savvy?" Not all vets are. If you go to www.rabbit.org there is a section there on rabbit savvy vets by state.
Here is a link to articles on respiratory infections in bunnies just in case you need to show it to your vet.

Well my bunny sneezes sometime when she lays down. She has hay on the bottom of her cage. Maybe the dust from the your bunnies food dish, the bedding or they hay could just be making him sneeze when he lies down.
