Just wondering if you can have some social drinks the night before a ct scan?

No.... the scanner will explode if it detects alcohol in your system.....

Please... at CT scan is simply a series of XRays taken in sequence. of course you can have a couple of social drinks before hand.

All of you people saying "No" are seriously wrong. Alcohol metabolizes at about one drink per hour... a couple of social drinks the night before will be long gone before the scan. I order CT scans on trauma patients just pulled from the wreckage of an auto accident where blood alcohol levels are above .02. By your logic and reasoning I would never be able to trust those results.

Seriously... if you don't know what you are talking about... don't guess.

U can have night before only bt not 6 hours before CT scan.

you probably can but you would like to get the CT done with the best possible result.snice for a CT you have to drink that CT drink yuck I wouldn't

One is NOT supposed to imbide in alcohol prior to taking a cat scan.. blood work... etc etc

alcohol will leave your body in 8 to 10 hours but i would stop drinking to give your body time to rid itself of it.

Why not? If something is going to show up it will regardless of a few drinks, mine always have!!!
