How many players are there in division 1, 2 & 3 football?

There are 119 teams in Division I-A, 122 in Division I-AA, 149 in Division II, and 234 teams in Division III.

The lower divisions have fewer players per team, but you can figure the average is probably somewhere around 75-80 per team. So the total is somewhere between 40,000 and 50,000 players.

But you're also not counting the NAIA or juco schools.
