Last week I woke up in the middle of the night and it was really dark cuz the night light in the bathroom across the hall had burned out and I was groggy and couldn't figure out where the heck I was. THAT scared me so I leaped out of bed, stubbed my toe as I stepped on the dog (he was NOT happy) and woke up my husband in the process. After that all we could do was laugh. He's retired, her got to go back to sleep. I get up for work at 5:00 a.m. and it was 4:30 a.m.

This morning.

My husband rode our bike to work for the first time in almost a year. The last time he rode he was involved in an accident that could have killed him.

I spent the time between him leaving and calling me to say that he arrived safely praying, crying and remembering that day last year.

I expect that this afternoon will be about the same. I hope it will get easier, but I'm not going to hold my breath until it does.

A MONTH AGO. MY ALMOST 3 YEAR OLD SON AND I WERE ALONE AT HOME. SUDDENLY HE STARTS TALKING ABOUT HIS TWO FRIENDS, CARRIE AND MONKA WHO LIVED UNDER THE DINING TABLE. SO CERTAIN THAT THEY WERE THERE, KNOWING THEIR AGE AND GENDER ETC. THAT FREAKED ME OUT, COS OF COURSE, THERE WAS NOTHING THERE. AND HE KNEW SUCH DETAILS. I TRIED TO KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING BY SAYING;"LOOK, CARRIE IS SLEEPING" BUT HE ANSWERED:"THEY LEFT 5 MIN AGO. OH, HERE THEY ARE LOOKING THROUGH THE WINDOW". IT WAS SCARY!!!!
