On a lot of events and nightclub posters/flyers I see the abbrevaition R.O.A.R?

It stands for Rights of Admission Reserved. So if you turn up as a big group of lads or are too drunk they have the right to turn you away.

Possibly:

Right of Admission Reserved (or Refusal) an acronymic expression conveying an organization or establishment's reserved right to refuse entry to individuals on an arbitrary basis.

Could also be the company name of the concert promotors, but the above seems more likely.
