A website address is a URL yes you are correct but URL's (Uniform Resource Locations) are also used to give a standard address to data feeds, live audio, video feeds etc file locations for download and any other data that you can access via your brower. it is a bit like the same way a zip code can apply to a burget joint just as easily as it can to a residential house.
