I have to say that my ABSOLUTE favourite chick-lit books are by a little known authoress - Radeley Tungsten. Her books are fun, though a little bit gritty! They're all set in Glasgow. The best one is All About Polly, which is set against a backdrop of the 1957 food riots. Polly Tyler is a working class hero, who falls in love with the wrong man - a factory manager who isn't letting the food get through. Sounds cheesy, but it's a real tale of forbidden love! Polly has to overcome real adversity, and the disapproval of her family - but ultimately love wins the day (as it always does!).

Sophie Kinsella is super. My prominent Brit Chick Lit author is Jane green. I easily have examine "Jemimia J" and "Mr. possibly" approximately 20 cases each and every! She has extra books out additionally...very readable. Helen Fielding is stable too...the Bridget Jones books are the books that style of started the full Brit Chick Lit stream.

Some of Rosamunde Pilcher, although she's pretty old of a chick.
I think the chick in Can You Keep a Secret (by Sophie Kinsella) goes to Edinburgh, and that's where the crucial plot event happens, although she doesn't tour the town or anything.

Oh, the Voyager series by Diana Gabaldon, I think. Haven't read it.

Jane Green has a lot of her stories take place in Edinburgh. I beliebe Sophie Kinsella has her books take place in that general area as well.
