I have a christmas meeting to go to and the 'fun' idea is to design a hat with a drawing on it from which you can tell the title of a christmas song - does anyone have any ideas? Others will be doing it so I don't want something boring and predictable like rudolph the red-nosed reindeer! Help!

If you don't want to do Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer... do Bruno the Brown Nosed Reindeer instead.... Bruno is the one behind Rudolph. He's just as fast, but can't stop as quick!

How about a bobble hat, made to look like a mountain covered with snow, with some bits and bobs to do "Winter Wonderland"

Or a bobble hat made to look like Frosty the Snowman?

Demonstrate the first thing that happened when JC was born... do a picture of a terrorist killing a baby, and call it "O little town of Bethlehem". You couldn't do Silent Night, that would be a lie.

JC wasn't even a week old, and children were being murdered... or you could just use the traditional symbol... a cross, which is after all an instrument of torture.

Or you can pretend that everything about the birth of Jesus was wonderful and do "away in a manger" and give glory to Mary who managed to give birth in the worst conditions, because no selfish bastard would give a woman in her condition a room.

Most are quite obvious, The little drummer boy. Silver bells, We three kings etc. Perhaps a black felt hat and a simple family house snow falling, a couple of pets or other animals sleeping in the yard.
It says Silent Night to me.

I'd wear a small alarm clock and tell people that I had come as "Christians, awake!" That is, if Christmas hymns are allowed at your meeting. Or a pile of cotton wool with whatever wintry items come to hand representing: "See amidst the winter's snow!"

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
Three or four quite drunk and smiling rotund men in various stages of rest - one yawning and removing his socks, another snoring in the armchair, another curled up on the floor ... and a big empty bottle upturned amongst them, dripping its last drop onto the carpet ...
Should be quite easy to do even with match-stick men.
If you make a more precise drawing, make sure to colour their cheeks red!

How about the 12 days of Christmas. You can put a pear tree (small of course), partridge, some drummers drumming, a calling bird, gold rings, swans, pipers piping, etc. It'd be cute!

You can do 'Let it Snow' and cover the hat with foam or felt 'snowflakes' which would be easy to make. You can hot glue them to the hat. I'd use a light blue or white hat and use white or light blue 'snowflakes'. Contrast the colors so it stands out.
