1. Few only knew on consumer duties. Percentage has to be found from some site.
2. Again the statistical data have to be found elsewhere. How a consumer gets exploited due to his lack of knowledge and will to bring people to book.
3. Plenty in India have approached consumer court for redressal of grievances and got relief too.
4. There are consumer councils to assist in every town/city in india.
5. Very few.

Consumer buys a quality product in order to be satisfied, that is consumer satisfaction. The producer has to maintain the quality standards for the consumer to repeat buying the product. It is therefore a consumer action to redress if the producer is exploiting the consumer's trust.
