7-Eleven is the largest retailer of gas in the United States. The corporation has officially announce that it will end it's alliance with Citgo. Although they say that this was a decision they were already considering they also cite Hugo Chavez' recent comments and offese to the American people as another reason. Personally, I do not buy Citgo gas and haven't for quite awhile, but for those who do, I am wondering if you are boycotting them now? If so, is it because of Chavez or some other cause?

alya m: I work in tech sector and one of my previous positions was the 7-Eleven Retail Helpdesk. The answer to your question is yes. 7-Eleven pays people to drive around and check competitor station prices. They will beat the price on any corner by at least a penny. These people phone in prices and the price at the pump can be changed at any store via computer link from City Place in Dallas. Prices at some stations change multiple times a day.

I was doing a light boycott because of their quality of gas and stations. Now I am doing an absolute boycott thanks to Mr Chavez.

the reason of the boycott is CITO gas comes from Brazil and the president of that u . s . call our president ( i don't like the president) the devil It changed into an insult to our chief even though it truly is a loose u . s . and to teach help for out elected chief. we are asking to stop identifying to purchase there gas and making that u . s . wealthy. playstation : maximum persons do not care the position the gas comes from, merely how a lot it fee, so if 7-11 sells it for far less then the different guy thy will purchase it there.

You bet I'm boycotting Citgo gas. Of course, it is due to rude, crude, Chavez. I'm glad 7-11 is bailing out.

I think 711 is getting a lot of good press from this!
I normally buy marathon gas, it is an American company, the price is good, and there are many stations where I drive.

7-11's decision as a HUGE corporation will hurt Citgo way more than anything that an individual, or even a group of individuals, could do.
