Huh!
What father , what son, what son's wife and what mother?
Anakin has no father.
Luke is his son and not vice versa.
Luke was never married
Anakin's wife looks only vaguely like his mother.
You need to watch all of this over again in the order 456123 to make more sense of it.

Well, Star Wars is about history, which is why many people enjoy it. Dont forget that the episodes were not produced in the order of the storyline, which makes things more interesting.
If they look the same, its probably a point that the producers want to drive home that they are from the same family.
Maybe they want to emphasize the point that they are of the same species (if you noticed, there are many species in star wars)

The father has passed on genetic material to the son so they look similar - people often resemble their parents.
Also the son will marry someone who looks like his mother - this is usually the case for most men as it is genetically programmed into them.

I can see you're confused, I don't have a clue what you're talking about. Generally, the films are the life story of anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, as He's a small boy in Episode 1 and He dies in Episode 6. You have to watch them in Episode order, not the order in which they are made (1-6, not 4,5,6,1,2,3). It's really quite a simple story once you get the grips of that.
