To tell the truth i like Harry potter better than lord of the rings even though they r both cool so i vote for harry potter.

The Harry Potter BOOKS were better than the Lord of the Rings book, easier to read and far more compelling. However, the Harry Potter movies don't hold a candle to the Lord of the Rings movies...actually, nothing does. The LOTR movies are some of the best ever.

O.K. first i all i will answer the question, then i will have to go off of some of you idiots that answer these questions. I have to go with Lord of the Rings, I liked the movies, liked the books more, but liked the movies more then the Potter ones. I guess i just don't get it. O.K. now for some of you all, firs of all what is that one guy talking about with all the you can't beat the original and stuff like that do you mean the movies. Trust me Lord of the Rings was not the first fantasy movie ever or something, in fact the first Potter movie came out first. Second if you are talking about the books, you should read the Dark Tower novels from Stephen King. They are heavily influenced by the Lord of the Rings books and I feel are much better. Anyways that is all....... for now.

Lord of the Rings. Harry Potter is witchcraft, and LOTR is a Christian series. Gandalf represents Jesus. He dies and then comes back to life. Harry Potter is using the power that only Jesus is supposed to have. People say there are so many similarities, but really, there are nothing alike.

I'd rather Harry Potter, but only the book Harry Potter. The movie just didn't cut it. LotR book is way to long and boring but the movie was good.
So... LotR in the movies, but Harry in the books
