The Gap
Do you remember when they were small in the seventies with the "fall into The Gap" promos? Then it looked like they were going to go out of business with nothing more than a whisper. Then BAM! world domination!!

1. Glaxo's i) baby food and ii) gripe water
2. Horlicks
3. Ponds talcum powder
All had a monopoly and when brands came into the market they lost their lustre but came back to stay in the market and still doing good.
