Most if not all insects breathe through their abdomens.
Rub vaseline of a similar jelly on the underside of the tick's abdomen.
The tick will not be able to breathe and will back out.
When it falls to the floor, go get the fat guy next door to step on it.
This is for real, not a joke.

Bathe them in Dawn dish detergent. You can actually see them fall out of the dogs fur. Make sure you brush them really well when they are dry. So you can get as many of the eggs out as poosible.

There's a powder for it .. just put the powder on dog's coat and paws ..brush him ...make sure he is out in lawn ..ticks run away or die due to powder .

don't laugh, smother it with vaseline....it will suffocate & start to back out..grab it with tweezers....I know, the vaseline part is kinda scary....
