Went to Dubai 2 years ago. a fab place but the building work is unbelievable, giant cranes everywhere, dust, could not go out of the hotel by foot, but having said that friends of ours have lived there for 25 years so know all the best places to go.
places you must go to
1. Emerates Towers top floor.
2. Burj Al Rab, you can pay and go for afternoon tea.
3. Gold Markets.
4. Desert Safari great fun take your camera.
5. The pub Ponderosa and the beach club at the back .
6. On a Monday night they have a salt trail night, that means every female dose not pay for a drink in ANY pub you will find a lot of good ones in the shopping malls, you must try this.
7 Wild Wadi |Water Park .
There are so many things to do and the people are so polite it puts us to shame,

You simply have to go on the 4x4 trip through the dessert.
But make sure you have a good stomach. some of those sand dunes are pretty big. have a real out door supper in the middle of the dessert. ride on a camel. then you must visit Wild Wardi. fantastic place. Actually the whole of Dubai is a must see. So dont stick to one thing. A make sure you go for a while. Way to much to see and do. Enjoy

I think the big experiences there are the Malls and the Gold Souk. I think Wild Wadi is worth it and it is neat to take some kind of tour to see the desert. Also try and get to some of the Arabic/Lebanese restaurants for a good meal and to smoke shisha. Oh the Dhow cruise is nice too.

Madinat Mina A'salam its a very very good 5 star hotel. you dont have to stay there ust go for a buffet meal on the ground floor. you can also have a little tour on the little boats that take people from this hotel to other branches near by. its near the burj-al arab hotel and the wild wadi. the scenery fro mit is very very good.

Depends when you go. Now is ramadan and it's soooo quiet.
Give it a month though and it's party on again.
Dubai is like the Arabic Las Vegas, tacky and cheap but a good laugh anyway

I don't know about you but i would go and have Shawerma - that's an arabic food specialty. It's soo good and go to Burj El Arab and if you can manage to go on the inside it will blow your mind. The new snow dome is awesome.
