Yes, and no. Depends on how bad you want someone. I have seen people living alone all their lives after the deaths of their lovers. It's all about the strength of the feelings you have for one another.

Distance is the key. Not country.

Look at yourself first. Why would you be attracted to someone that's not available regularly? It's impossible to believe that there is no one in your city/town that would not be a good match for you.

Be real about this. The answer is within yourself. Not some romantic idea that your only happiness is miles away with no real time to develop a normal relationship.

Well, I think long distance relationships are very difficult. The person is never really with you even if you phone/e-mail, and they can't be there when you really need them. Also, you'll constantly miss them.
If they don't reply for a while, won't you get suspicious that they're cheating. How would you know?
