Be sure to apply moisturizer just before applying your foundation. It helps the foundation stick to your face. Also, it wouldn't hurt to put a light layer of loose or pressed powder on after your foundation. It could also be the brand you're using. Sometimes spending a little extra money on a foundation is worth it. I use Mary Kay which is $14 a tube, but I only use a small amount and have flawless-looking skin all day.
Hope this helps, good luck!

The most important product, and the one many women don't think they need, is a makeup primer. These primers not only moisturize the skin, but act as a barrier to the elements and help the foundation adhere better and last longer on the skin.
One of the best primers is from Tarte, and another great one is from Smashbox. Laura Mercier and MAC also make very good primers.
As for your foundation, you also have to make sure that you are using a formulation best for your skin type. If your foundation is disappearing that quickly, you may have oily skin, which means you need a water based foundation or a oil controlling cream to powder foundation. These brands are great with formulations and colors, and should have something just right for you!
L'oreal HIP liquid makeup, Real Cosmetics Foundation, Sue Devitt liquid or cream foundation, Mally Beauty Cream foundation, liquid foundation from meet mark, ERA Face spray foundation.

You may be using the wrong type of foundation. Sometimes that crap you buy from WalMart has little to no pigmentation and calls itself foundation. I use Lancome Absolue Makeup. It has good pigmentation and is full coverage. I use very little of it to get the look I want, and a whole jar of it will last a year. It's $55 a jar, but it is worth it.
You may also be putting too much moisturizer on before you apply the foundation. Either stop putting on so much, if that's the case, or be sure to apply more powder. Keeping a compact with you will also help make your makeup last longer.

Oh, you're gonna need a better foundation. Use concealer under your foundation, too. Set with powder. Don't use the puff that comes in a pressed powder though. Use a good quality powder brush. I prefer loose powder. Also, if you have oily skin, use a toner first.

If you use a product to set the foundation, it will work much better. I use Philosophy The Present Clear Makeup and my skin looks so much better throughout the day. And you only need to use very little so the product last a long time.

try applying a "wet" foundation like a stick or liquid bottle kind, allow to set for 2 minutes and then apply a powder foundation over the top to keep it in place.

buy a good foundation then when you put it on dab it on and smooth down your face if you go upwards is sticks in the pores and makes them more noticeable, let is set and apply a loose powder with a blush brush

get a better foundation -- like dream matte mouse (Maybelline) is good, then put light powder on it, I recomend Physicians Formula because the powders come with many colors and the blends work well with all diff. skin tones. =]
