Often times people confuse the need for love or attention with the relationship they are in. It is a deeper problem than just "cheating" or having a "fling". If some one is unable to attach themselves to only one person then they should seek help. Or get out of that relationship (the steady one) and stay single until they realize how much they have been missing out on and start listening to their heart.

It happens, but it shuldn't. We have romanticized what love is to the point where we don't even know what it is anymore. We're looking for some kind of perfection and want to keep looking for something that makes us happy every minute. In the dictionary, love is a verb. That means you DO something. Love is work with a unique reward. Flitting from one person to another will not find it.

if you are in a long term/serious relationship keep it that way. If you aren't happy just break up and explore the opportunities. Don't be unfaithful. They will never be able to trust you again. I have been done that way and it sucks. Once you jump the fence post there is always the chance that you'll be tempted to do it again. Just treat someone the way you expect to be treated and you'll gain respect from them and yourself!

There should be some difference between them and a child. A child would try to test crazy things. No sane person would ever think of doing something to harm their relationship.

Sometimes its just to make you realise how lucky you already are. You already know in the back of your mind that hes the one for you but you need to test the waters to see if you can do better.

Yes, heard of it and seen it. It's a real dumb way to validate your love. I still don't understand why people would risk the person they love with a meaningless physical relationship with another.

it's human nature to want to "push the envelop" and take risks... but it's the better person who can just say NO. every child will "test" their parents.. this behavior continues through adulthood. it's the child that grows up (matures) and realizes the benefits or consequences of their actions and the effect it has on everyone around them that will be that better person.

In my mind this question is very easily answered.

If i was unfaithfull to my wife and she knew, it would hurt her terribly. What sort of a man would I be if I went ahead and did it anyway? Infidelity can destroy relationships. It is best not to play with fire.

Most people dont realise what they've got till they haven't got it anymore. People have to see how far they can go with things, if not just for their own curiosity
