I know nothing about MP3 plyers but we are considering one for our 10 and 11 year old nieces. What is the differance in the products? What would you recomend?

Well according to me there are nearly 1000s of mp3 players around the world but the most prominent and successful model is iPOD ...
iPod got 3 models namely shuffle, nano and finally iPod video.
iPod shuffle - It got no screens and the playlist will be shuffled or in random ans the name suggests. Its really small and handy. It got 1GB memory capacity and u can store approximately 240 songs in AAC formats.
iPod nano - It got sleek screen and it of range 2 - 4 - 8 GBs. It is of just 3.5inches height, breadth of 1.6 inches, and just .26 inches of width. Its really cool and stylish !!! If its my chioce I wil prefer buying this model which just starts from 149 $
iPod Video - It holds up to 20,000 songs, up to 25,000 photos, and up to 100 hours of video — or any combination of each. Its memory capacity is 30 - 80 GBs. Its really a mini theatre. Its fantastic.
Finally coming to other models they are not worthy to but when compared to apple iPods. You gotta wide range to select in iPods model mentioned above. Also coming to the main important point- sound and video clarity, We cant expect it to be good in any other models other than iPods. Including that You get additional softwares and tool kits for these iPods.
