Ladies and Gentlemen, please actually READ the questions first, helps to answer them correctly. It asks who IS the best QB not who WAS.......

Tom Brady has THREE Superbowls. McNabb, Brees. Manning, Vick all have 0! That is the FINAL SCORE! The purpose of NFL football is to win the Superbowl. It is NOT pass completions, yards gained, successful scrambles, how one looks in the uniform, Gillette razors sold or cheerleaders "boinked."

It is games won, playoff made, playoffs won, SUPERBOWLS!

Terry Bradshaw won more Superbowls than any other quarterback during the 1970s, he was the best QB in the NFL during the 70s. Better than Stauback, Unitis, Tarkington, Griese, Stabler. Better because he won FOUR Superbowls! (And YOUR personal opinion is IRRELEVANT!)

Joe Montana won more Superbowls than any other quarterback during the 1980s, he was the best QB in the NFL during the 80s. Better than Marino, Elway, Theisman or Jawarski.

In the 1990s the prize should go to Troy Aikman with three SB wins, although with Elway's two last minute rings at the very end of his career, he gets special consideration, you call it. The point is that SUCCESS in NFL football has very little to do with stats, form, arm strength, completion percentage or good looks, it has everything to do with SUCCESS ON THE FIELD.

To claim for one second Unitis was a better QB than Bradshaw or that Marino was a better QB than Montana is as stupid as saying that Art Landon was a better presidential candidate that Franklin D. Roosevelt! Landon ran twice and LOST. Roosevelt ran four times and WON every one.

I'm sorry, I don't much like him or his team either, neverthless, the CORRECT answer to the above question is "TOM BRADY" and there could be NO other correct answer, (unless you are a complete brainless IDIOT!)

If we are talking best overall now, I'd have to go with Peyton or Tom Brady. I agree with some that Carson Palmer may soon catch them (they getting older, him moving into his prime). Ok, I think Mike Vick is a great athlete, and fun to watch, but let's get serious... I could name at least 10 (probably more) that are better QB's than him.

I am amazed at the mix of answers here! Sure there are several good QB's currently in the league, but lets get real here...

...Peyton Manning is untouchable.

Though he has some work to do (like winning some superbowls), before he dethrones Joe Montana as the best all time.

Statistically and talent-wise it is Peyton Manning...But if I needed a QB to get me a win against a tough defense who can cover recievers and take away the "initial" play, I would have to go with Mcnabb or Brady.

If you are asking about the current crop of QBs, the list would start with Peyton Manning and be followed by Carson Palmer, D. McNabb and Tom Brady. These 4 are set apart by their physical tools at the position and their mental prowess.

if you look at stats and wins
Tom Brady is the greatest QB to play the game

if anyone says P.Manning is the best QB your a idiot clearly he's a attention whore and ball hog n only throws the ball for TDs even if he's on te 1yard line it's all bout him not the team.

for me the best would be a Quarterback that was a great leader won championships. could carry a team on his back when the need arised and make plays happen on the field. If you take all of that in to account it leaves only a few players. i would say Montana, Bradshaw, Brady, T. Aikmen.in that order but one I think was a unbelievable player to watch was Elway. Best passer Mario. toughest Farve.

Most people would answer Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. I think Carson Palmer may soon be mentioned with these two as one of the very best.
