Yeah i've tried it. It's pretty good. There are numerous advantages (mainly speed) to using vista, but as with any new operating system it's bound to have bugs and people trying to exploit those bugs. Probably best to wait a month or so after the final copy comes out before you install.
You also need a fairly decent pc to run it.

in the mean time, i'd follow XP. Vista being so new, maximum hardware producers are nevertheless determining insects with gadget drivers. also, component of the reason Vista changed into behind time table see you later changed into that MS keen to crack down on safe practices with XP. Vista is being criticized for it really is overt DRM good factors, which extremely some multimedia enthusiasts with despise. i'd wait a minimum of yet another few months earlier making the change, if even in any respect. If conceivable, see if the loose improve ought to possibly be in a twin-boot variety so so that you could examine it out, then uninstall and flow again to XP with all of your settings and records in case you come back to a decision hostile to it. *IRT maniadityan regrettably, it somewhat is incorrect. Vista isn't an replace of XP, it really is a thoroughly new operating environment. for this reason, skill driver subject matters are extremely conceivable. in reality, presently about 60% of hardware producers are reporting insects and subject matters with gadget drivers for Vista, so this also guidelines out the claims through tapoxi.

The average home PC has more work to do by running Windows and all the additional programs to look after it rather than actually doing anything useful. I've tested all the betas and the RC1 that recently became available, my thoughts are that it's been made as pretty as possible with no regard for system overhead because you'll just upgrade your machine to run it.

Linux did the pretty thing ages ago, so did MAC OS. You didn't need to upgrade your machine to run it though.

MAC is better, Linux is better. I voted for the Linux guy.

Well I've been trying it for about 15 days the 64bits processors version. I have to say that graphics greatest thing I have ever see on a OS. Funtionally is the same thing of XP. What I try to say is that if you wanna impress your friends do install it but if you don't want to take riskes you better keep working with XP Service Pack 2

Personally, I have not used it, but I have seen my friend use it. I don't think it's worth it, since Microsoft just wasted their time on vista, cause it is very similar to XP. It is just a graphical touch-up from p, that uses more system resources. so, don't get it.
get linux

Windows has been more or less the same since 10 years... the only change has been the interface and appearance... windows is still based on a single user architecture...

Vista is expensive and useless...

Use Linux...
