Do you think that 4 to 5 oz of formula is too much for a one month old baby?

no. If the baby is taking it, and tolerating it then its not too much. Remember, breast fed babies dont count their ounces.. they just eat until they are full.

Not at all...my daughter is 5 weeks old today and is taking 4.5 oz. every 3 hours or so and she is a small baby. She weighed 7 lbs at birth and is just now up to 8 lbs 13 oz. (smaller than a lot of babies are when they are born!) My Dr. says she's as healthy as a horse :)

Don't add cereal to the bottle like others have suggested...it isn't good for a one month old's little digestive system. Your pediatrician would agree that you should wait until 4 months to start any type of cereal.

How much does the baby weigh
No mine always drank around the same but I had large babies. At 2 month mine were near 6 & 8 oz. Sounds normal to me. My kids are 11 now and skinny. Just feed the baby until it gets enough and go from there. I would bring it up to the doctor next time you too the baby in.

Not really My two and a half month old son eats at least four to 8 oz every 3 to four hours When he came home from the hosptial after staying in the NICU the doctor told me to feed him as much as he wanted to eat whenever he wants to eat he usually sleeps 5 to 8 hours every night But ask your pediactrician and see what they suggest just take your baby to the doctor for regular check ups too

NO !!!!! Lucky for us babies only for the most part eat what they need.A lot of factors go in to weather or not they are getting too little or not enough.I would say if he is spitting up quite a bit to either add cereal or cut back . May be add cereal to it if he is eating more often than three to 4 hours.1table spn. per Oz. Over all I think it is nothing to be too concerned about at this time.if you continue to worry talk it over with the Dr. at the next appointment(no need to make a special appointment)GOOD LUCK

i don't think so but it depends on the feeding schedule, how often does the baby eat, if its every 3-4 hours that amount of formula is fine

It depends on the baby, it's size and appetite. No i don't think that is too much, but probably more than average.

i personally dont think its too much i guess you need to listen to the baby......if he drinks it and keeps it down thats good....if you give him 3 ounces and he's still fussy then 5 is ok they wont eat more than they need....enjoy your baby
